At Long Last!  

Too Cool to Be Forgotten

Here's the awesome cover cooked up by Matt Kindt! I'm very excited about it. We explored some other ideas, including a year-book themed cover, but I'm really happy with our final choice. Of course, I hope we don't get sued by the cigarette company, but wih the way things are going for them it's more likely that I would walk away with a huge settlement. 
Anyway, look for it this summer, knock wood!

That's amazing.

I was pro-Yearbook cover, but seeing this, I'm glad my vote counted as much as an Al Gore one in Florida...

Damn! That's an incredible cover. I think it really trumps any yearbook ideas. I really like it.

Although I wonder my strong response is simply the result of years and years of covert marketing at my age group now being redirected to a better-for-me product.(?) Hmmm... using the evil power of brand recognition for your own gain? Excellent!

Nice! This looks great.

I think you have a point about how you could probably win some money in a settlement. I think you could easily argue that the cigarette companies made you make an homage to their products, with all their relentless pushing and targeting impressionable teenagers.

It's about time there were menthol flavored comics.

I think as long as you give away free cigarettes with purchase to kids under 14 you won't get sued.

When I was a kid, my parents had a friend who was a KOOL delivery guy. He supplied delis, vending machines and bus terminals with cartons of KOOLS. He also had tons of cool KOOL shwag to give out...so when I was young I had lots of KOOL caps, drink cozies and t-shirts. His wife smoked KOOLS and died in her 50's from lung cancer. He doesn't drive the KOOL truck any more. HE married a much younger second wife who doesn't smoke.

Amazing cover. Matt Kindt is fucking awesome.
